Biting vs chewing

During a conversation about filling a hall with guests for a lecture, the speaker told me “I can see that you are committed to having 50 guests at the event and that is truly extraordinary. But do you realize that if they actually turn out, you would actually cut a sorry figure because you cannot devote your quality time to any one of them and that will defeat the purpose of your inviting them for the session”

I then immediately thought of the expensive campaigns involving press releases, mega press conferences, ads in print and visual media from companies about their offerings but fail to stock those items even in their exclusive outlet, what to talk of Dealers? Worse, their employees have no clue of what the customer, impressed by the ad, is asking for?

Worse is launching products without the basic support infrastructure that leaves customers really frustrated!!
