Finally, its Final!

The Aussies have done it again!  They have reached the finals of the World Cup for the 6th time (1979, 1987, 1992, 1999, 2003 and now 2007) and that is yet another record. They are followed by the West Indies who have entered the finals 3 times.  What a gap?

They have also equalled West Indies record of reaching the finals for the third consecutive time! Will they also suffer the fate of the Windies in the third final?  Time will tell.

They bundled out South Africa for a paltry 149 (that they reached even that total was a miracle thanks largely to Kemp’s fighting 49) and then knocked off the required runs easily with about 17 overs to spare and 7 wickets in hand.

I really had to pity the SA bowlers who were severely limited by such a low total they had to defend.

Clarke played a great innings of 60 and once again proved that the Aussie performance is not about individuals but about collective effort.

And what a performance by Glenn McGrath! He took the cream of the SA batting lineup and was also so economical. He was ably supported by Tait (4 wickets), Hogg and Bracken (1 each)

Lankans would be trembling at the prospect of meeting the mighty!

Will it be David or Goliath! We will know soon

Keep me posted. Right now im rooting for aussie. As long as the cup stays in this hemisphere ill be happy. Have you followed the americas cup in valencia? spelling is off i just know it. Keep an eye on that…I think prada might just take it if we arent careful. Did you know that most of the yachting nations class us kiwis as the best in the world because we got the americas cup when everyone thought we were useless and we kept it for 3 rounds…peter blake was a great man, brilliant tactition, true kiwi

RIP peter…we’ll get it back for you.
